Wellness vs. Rehabilitation
Wellness = Staying
Well vs. Rehabilitation = Becoming Well Again After Being Injured
or Sick
Which one would
you prefer? In today’s society, we have become accustomed to the
concept of “dealing with it” when it comes to aches and pains that
irritate, annoy or pain us. That may function well for you in
other areas of your life, but when it comes to your body, it
definitely is detrimental and NOT positive. The more you “deal
with it”, the more dysfunctional your body becomes. The longer
you wait to address these body issues, the more compounded they
become. What started out as something quite minor can escalate
into a major issue requiring much treatment, medications, or in
some extreme cases - surgery. So don’t “deal with it” when you
feel that ‘little’ pain or discomfort and think it will just go
away. Even if it FEELS like it went away, it has probably just
become something you have desensitized to and it is, indeed, still
working on you in a negative way. Get regular care (once a month)
and you will find that you feel healthier and those little issues
can be addressed to keep your body tuned up and functioning
properly. Plus, your practitioner can work with you to help catch
things as they start and get rid of them before they become
issues!
The BEST Side
Effect …
Massage has long
been thought of as a “luxurious” or “pampering” service done for
one’s self. However, that wonderful feeling one gets from having
a massage is actually a side effect. WHY? Because, by receiving
massage, one is maintaining good health, increasing circulation,
detoxifying and performing many other preventative measures for
the body. Where else can one go for a health care treatment and
receive such a positive feeling DURING the treatment? Think of
that the next time you are wondering if you “deserve” it … of
course you do … your body requires it!
